In spite of the scare Wendy and I had on our last motorcycle, I just couldn't ignore my love of motorcycles. When I saw this beauty on Craigslist, I knew it was a bargain. The guy who was selling it had to get his money out of it fast, so he was ready to deal. After test driving the bike, I was quickly convinced that it was the bike I wanted.
Before getting married, I had a Magna V45. Unfortunately, I trusted the wrong mechanic to work on it-it was either stolen by him or by someone he knew. The bottom line was that it disappeared and I was left holding the bag. I never forgot how much I loved that motorcycle, though, and kept my eyes open for another one. Unlike when I was in my 20's, I am now in a better position to own the 'big brother' to the V45. So I jumped on the opportunity to do so.
At 35-38 MPG, it is much more economic to ride this beauty to work than either the pickup or the car. Of course, I'm completely at the mercy of the weather, which as of late has not been the least bit cooperative. Regardless, I'm taking advantage of every opportunity to take the backroads on the bike.
